Scanning of Quarry Stock Piles to ascertain the total volume.
The process is as follows:
- Firstly - We determine the best scanning locations to have a line of sight of the total stockpile volume. If more than one pile is to be measured we can utilise the best scan positions so as to cover multiple piles with one scanner set up. A normal scan will require three set up positions.
- Secondly – Scanner Targets are placed onto and about the stockpile.
- Thirdly – We scan the stockpile from the predetermined positions.
NOVAMECH then registers the multiple scans into one scan world.
The total volume is then easily calculated using our Speculated Terrestrial Software.
This process can take between three hours and a full day – depending on of the scale of the job.Volume Calculated by Cyclone
